My Journey with Beaconhouse – From Art Teacher to Librarian
As Beaconhouse celebrates its 50th glorious year, I find myself reminiscing about my own beautiful journey with this remarkable institution, a place that has given me not just a career, but countless memories, friendships, and learning experiences.
I began my career at Beaconhouse North Nazimabad branch, where I had the honor of working under two wonderful heads, Mrs. Inaam and Miss Lubna Saeed. Both were unique in their leadership and left a deep mark on my early professional life.
Mrs. Inaam was extremely polite, kind-hearted, and graceful, always guiding her teachers with patience and care. Miss Lubna Saeed, on the other hand, was highly creative and artistic, a true inspiration for someone like me, who was then an Art Teacher. Her ideas, energy, and love for creativity helped me grow immensely in my role and taught me how to bring imagination into every classroom experience.
After getting married, I took a break from teaching, a long one, almost ten years. Life had moved on, but the desire to return to Beaconhouse never faded. And when I finally did rejoin, it was like coming back home, though this time at a different campus, Beaconhouse Primary II.
There, I had the pleasure of working with Miss Namrah, who was my first head after I rejoined. Although she is no longer at the school, my memories with her are truly special. She was supportive and welcoming, and she made my transition back into the school environment so smooth and joyful.
Currently, I am working under the leadership of Miss Nausheen Bashir, and I feel incredibly fortunate. She is a wonderful woman, a strong, understanding, and inspiring head who encourages creativity and supports every initiative with warmth and positivity.

From teaching art to now serving as the school librarian, my journey with Beaconhouse has been full of colors, both literally and emotionally. Every head, every colleague, and every student I’ve met along the way has added a new shade to my Beaconhouse story.
As Beaconhouse turns 50, I celebrate not just the school’s achievements but also the countless personal stories like mine that make it the nurturing and inspiring institution it is today.
Happy 50th, Beaconhouse! Here’s too many more years of learning, creativity, and growth.
