For the past 19 years at Beaconhouse School System Block 3 PECHS, I have witnessed how busy and mentally active a child’s school day can be. As a music teacher, my role is not only to teach music but also to help students feel happy and relaxed during their academic journey. Music gives children a joyful break from their daily studies and helps them refresh their minds.
In my classes from Grade 2 to 5, I use simple and enjoyable activities such as singing, moving to music, memorizing songs, and playing percussion instruments. These activities make students feel happy and create a pleasant classroom environment. When children participate in music, they naturally smile, gain confidence, and enjoy learning.
Sometimes, students come to class feeling tired after a long day of study. At such times, I let them listen to calm, soft music. I ask them to close their eyes and take deep breaths along with the music. This helps them relax and feel peaceful.
With regular practice, students learn how to stay calm and handle difficult or overwhelming situations. Music becomes a safe and happy space for them. In this way, music lessons not only support their learning but also help them grow emotionally and enjoy their school life even more. Beaconhouse School System Elementary Campus Block 3 PECHS gives a exposure to child to enhance Artistic skills in every possible way.
