Grand Parents Day

A popular belief goes, “a grandparent is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend.” Grandparents have a golden heart for their grandchildren. The time we spend with them has a magical spark. Every little thing, from bedtime stories to hearty chuckles, from tubs of ice creams to sweet chocolates, and from warm hugs to playing games with us, leaves a wonderful memory behind.

Being the best history-sharers, we learn from them about our culture, tradition, customs, and heritage and most significantly about the strong legacy that they leave behind. By telling fascinating chronicles from the earlier generations, they fade away the generation gap and fill that missing loop by recounting those amazing tales.

Spending time with our grandparents is like enjoying the bounties of paradise. For them, their grandchildren are the apple of their eye. To celebrate the Grand Parent’s Day and to integrate it with the reader “Happy Birthday, Goose!”, Beaconhouse School Primary II Campus PECHS organized its event and invited the grandparents of the pre-nursery students to the school. Together with their grandparents, the students engaged in hands-on activities such as sticking a feather on the goose, creating a ray of sunshine with their little hands on canvas, cracking brainy puzzles, and making a stack of cake layers with delicious fillings. They also danced with them and popped the colourful piñata that was showered with lots of yummy candies, goodies, and other treats.

Last but not the least, one should never forget the love, blessings, and unlimited favours extended to us by our grandparents. They are the secret sauce of our happiness and are extremely near and dear to our hearts.
