“Alone we can do so little; Together we can do much!” – Hellen Keller
One-third of Pakistan has been completely submerged by historic flooding, leaving millions homeless and destroying buildings, roads, and other infrastructure.
Keeping in view the current situation in Pakistan, Primary II Campus, P.E.C.H.S arranged a BAKE-A-THON on Wednesday, 14th September to raise funds for flood affectees.
Students of Grade IV and V participated in the activity. The school management set up stalls in the playground where students sold different food items to raise money, including sandwiches, mini pizzas, juice, brownies, and more. The activity was conducted in 4 different slots. Each section was assigned a particular time slot, and certain students were given the duties to manage sales, cash counter, and overall discipline to instill a sense of responsibility in them.
The amount collected was donated to Mehmood Ali Kasuri Welfare Trust, an organization working to help those struck by the flood. The event proved to be an enriching learning experience for the students and gave them a chance to positively contribute to the community.
We are proud of our students for showing dedication to this noble cause of giving back to our community and thank our parents for their generous and everlasting support in making the BAKE-A-THON a success.
