A New Chapter 😌

As I step into my new role as Headmistress of Primary II PECHS, I am filled with both excitement for what lies ahead and warmth from the memories of my journey so far. It is an honor to join a campus led by the inspiring Ms. Nausheen Bashir as Head of School, alongside the dedicated Ms. Maria Noman as School Coordinator. I look forward to learning from their leadership and working hand-in-hand to take our school to new heights.

This transition is a moment for reflection. My 14 years with Beaconhouse School System have been a remarkable journey of learning, leadership, and community. From my early days as a Primary Teacher to serving as School Coordinator, Senior Mistress, Instructional Coach, PDSI-Lead and School Head, each chapter has shaped my vision for education — one where every child is seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

In this role, my focus will be on student achievement and school improvement — not just academically but in nurturing confident, creative, and compassionate learners. This year, we will have Project-Based Learning (PBL) at the core of our syllabus across all subjects, ensuring students connect learning to real-world contexts while building problem-solving, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.

Our work will align with the 5 Strategic Intents of Beaconhouse:
• Student Achievement – Striving for excellence across academics, skills, and character development.
• Quality Teaching – Supporting teachers with resources, training, and collaborative practices.
• Leadership Development – Growing leaders at every level — students, teachers, and staff.
• Inclusion – Building a community where diversity is embraced and every child belongs.
• Community Engagement – Strengthening the partnership between school, parents, and the wider community.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, a Master’s degree in Marketing, a CAIE Certificate in Educational Leadership, a CAIE Diploma in Teaching and Learning and I am currently pursuing the CAIE Diploma in Educational Leadership. My leadership style is collaborative and reflective, rooted in the belief that when wellbeing is prioritized, achievement naturally follows.

As I join Primary II PECHS, I look forward to working closely with our talented staff, dedicated parents, and, most importantly, our wonderful students. Together, we will create a learning environment that is joyful, purposeful, and transformative.
