Speedy Sprinters- Mini Sports Gala

Sports Day, is the most important and the most awaited event of a school year. The real importance of sports day in school is what it does for the spirits and camaraderie of the school community. The importance of sports day in school cannot really be overstated since it is a moment in the calendar to foreground extra-curricular activities and to demonstrate that school is about more than just academic achievement.

On 7^th December 2021, Beaconhouse School System, Primary II, PECHS organized its mini sports gala “Speedy Sprinters 2021” attended by all parents from the Early Years. The whole ground was fluttering with green and blue balloons.

 

 

 

 

The event started with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran and translation. Later, the students from Toddlers, Nursery and Kindergartens shining in different house colours attire marched into ground lead by their House captains. All the spectators were seated on chairs in the ground.  The opening ceremony was the next thing where the Headmistress Ms. Saima Anwar along with the Senior Mistress Ms. Namrah Waheed and School Coordinator Ms. Quratulain Kamal declared the competition open.

The crowd was engrossed with the beautiful PT Display of Nursery students on the song Waka Waka. The munchkins performed stunningly well and created an astonishing environment. The display was followed by little chickens of Toddlers and Nursery on the chicken song. They all were looking extremely adorable in their yellow chicken headbands and feathers. In the second slot, the Kindergarteners displayed their extremely well-coordinated moves and mesmerized the audience.

The track events started right after the PT display for the little cuties where they had different races like pick the flower, stack the block, hoola hoop and flat race.

It was pleasing that all students showed such competitive spirits and participated in these races with full enthusiasm. The winners were given medals and cups. Participants were also awarded with medals.

 

 

 

 

 

The parents loved it and the children couldn’t be happier.
