From Colors to Books: My Journey from Art Teacher to Librarian:-
When I first joined Beaconhouse as an Art Teacher, my world was filled with colors, brushes, and creativity on paper. I enjoyed guiding students to express their ideas through art, watching their imagination come alive in every stroke.
But one day, while spending time in the school library, I felt a completely new kind of inspiration. I noticed how children’s eyes lit up when they discovered a new story, how quietly they flipped through pages, and how books became windows to different worlds. The library wasn’t just a room full of shelves, it was a universe of knowledge and imagination waiting to be explored.
This magical atmosphere inspired me so much that I decided to take a new path, from being an art teacher to becoming a Library Teacher. Now, instead of teaching students how to paint their ideas on a canvas, I guide them to paint with words, stories, and imagination.
Every day in the library feels special. Some children come in with curiosity, some with excitement, and some just looking for a little quiet space. For me, the most rewarding moment is when a student who once said “I don’t like reading” leaves the library with a smile, holding a book they can’t wait to open.
The library has taught me that creativity is not limited to colors and brushes, it also lives in words, stories, and ideas. My journey from art to books is proof that inspiration can lead us to unexpected, beautiful destinations.
For me, the library is not just my workplace, it’s my passion.
