There is a popular expression that “Variety is the spice of life” and phonology has made it easier for people to taste the flavors of various phonetic sounds and symbols.
Language is a storehouse of knowledge. It is beyond the shadow of a doubt that each phonetic sound, symbol, and a letter is beautiful in its own unique way but understanding the history of the letter “P” may be a hard nut to crack, but to our surprise, we must thank phonology that has helped us to set apart those distinct various sounds with the aim to recognize, acknowledge and comprehend them.

History takes us back to the time when the letter “P” was originally the 16th letter of the Roman alphabet and was further adopted by the Greeks. Later on, the letter “P” was also added to the English alphabet. We call this thing as “Direct Borrowing”.
Language is a great way to win the heart of your society. For some kids, learning phonetics can be quite challenging, and it takes time to teach them a new letter sound. To make children understand more about the importance of letter “P” along with its phonetic sound “p”, Beaconhouse School Primary II Campus PECHS adopted an excellent approach and climbed one more step of the ladder by commemorating the occasion and developing several activities that were centered around the letter “P”.

To crack the brainstorms related to the letter “P”, the nursery kids built paper bag puppets, pinned the tail of the pink panther, played piano for fun, microwaved some delicious cheese popcorns, counted the number of pinecones from the basket and finally, they pulled out a few “P” letter words from the pond of vocabulary. This event was one great experience for those little champs to broaden their horizon and to learn and grow from it.
