“Oliver Who Would Not Sleep” is a wonderful reader written by Mara Bergman and Nick Maland. This reader is jam-packed with exciting action and energizing adventures for young children. The story revolves around a little kid named as “Oliver Donnington Rimington- Sneep” who serves as the story’s main protagonist.
This reader is about a little boy who preferred to stay up late at night rather than being scared of the monsters, robbers, or any other eerie noises. After his parents tucked him up, he silently jumped out of his bed and turned out the lights. Late at night, he painted, drew, and performed some magic. He also raced in all of his cars to add a bit of extra excitement to his night. He finally located his rocket, boarded it, and began his night-time voyage. From his rocket, he could see everything in the town including some beautiful trees and a night owl. His rocket soared higher and higher into the stars, passing over the homes and cities. Finally, it made it to the orbit and crashed into the planet Mars where he was having fun. Oliver could see his house from a distance as the night grew chilly and he longed to go back to his home and play there. He boarded his rocket once more and flew back to his home. When he entered his home, he hugged all of his toys and took a long stretch before dozing off.

To celebrate this reader, Beaconhouse School Primary II Campus PECHS decided to take the lead and organized its event to fully commemorate the reader launch. Students loved the narrative and picked up some new vocabulary words. To aid with better sleep, they also created a sleeping mask. Moreover, to enhance their mathematical skills, they counted some digits on the abacus while gazing at the stars. They completed their final activity which is the rope-balancing maze, before taking their little steps towards their bed. Finally, they had some yummy milk to fill their tummy’s through the night.
