COVID-19 is a disease that has been declared the major pandemic of the century all over the world, including in Pakistan. Vaccination, along with following SOPs, has helped reduce the risk of COVID-19 significantly. However, as new COVID-19 variants emerge rapidly, it is important to immunize our children against this disease.
For this purpose, an aggressive campaign for Juvenile Vaccination was initiated by the Government of Pakistan, and as per the guidelines issued by the Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI), children with ages 5-11 years are being vaccinated with the Pfizer-Bio-Tech-Paed vaccine all over Pakistan.
To support the Government of Pakistan in this regard and keep our students safe and healthy in the long run, Primary II Campus, P.E.C.H.S conducted a vaccination drive on 20th September 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
The vaccination team visited the school and vaccinated students of Grade I – V with their parents’ consent. Children were also provided some refreshments, along with badges and stickers to appreciate them for participating in a good cause.
The activity was overseen by Dr. Jehangir Farman Ali, General Surgeon at SUIT, Karachi, who is also a part of our parents’ fraternity. Dr. Jehangir approved of the vaccine, and appreciated Primary II Campus, P.E.C.H.S for arranging this vaccination drive.
We are thankful to our parents for making this vaccination drive a success, and request everyone to come forward, support the government in this national cause and make the future of our children safer.
