Bismah Maroof was born in 18 July 1991 in Lahore. She is an all rounder, batting left handed, and bowling right aren’t leg break. I’m June 2022 she became the mist runs scorer for Pakistani women’s cricket team in ODI and T20 formats and scored 2000 runs in each. She captained the dude between 2013 and 2020, and was the first woman to score 1000 runs in ODIs for Pakistan. As of 2022, she currently holds the world record for having scored the most number of runs in the history of Women’s ODIs without a single career century with 3017 runs. She broke into the Pakistani team as a 15 year old and didn’t take long to establish herself a s a regular. She has evolved into a dependable batsman who can hold an innings together. After the Women’s World T20 in 2016, she took over from Sana Mir as captain of the T20 team. As a teenager, she helped Pakistan secure a berth in 2009 World Cup, those first since 1997. Her form jumped from good to prolific in 2015-2016 when she made 92 and 91 not out against Bangladesh and New Zealand, but her most memorable knock was the 99 she made in Pakistan’s 57 run win over South Africa in March 2015. Women like Bismah Maroof and a lot of other women have contributed a lot for Pakistan and is an inspiration for the next generation.
