Kids always love to do art and crafts and it’s important for them to practice it both at school and at home. With the kids back in school after winter break, Early Years had arranged “Orange Colour Day” with fun activities for kids to practice art and stamping to explore new ideas and concepts. Providing children with opportunities to engage in arts and craft allow them to explore new concepts and then express that through making something they can feel proud of use to entertain others or simply look at for pleasure.
Finger print activity was arranged for early year’s students .This is fun and easy alphabet learning activity involving finger printing. It’s a great way to get the kids more familiar with writing letters of the alphabet as they used their finger prints to make letters. Students loved this writing activity and enjoyed making marks. Most of them worked independently and were proud of their work. Their work was incredible.
Stamping and making prints is fun way for kids learn more about things and play with colors in a fun way. Early year’s students enjoyed stamping projects with oranges. They used oranges during play and learning time. They chose their favorite color and started stamping away. They saw and observed which color gave them best results.
- Practical life activities give the child an understanding of his environment and how it works .This work builds the child’s self-esteem, making him/her feel of value. In this regard, another fun art and craft activity was arranged .The kids were excited to engage in this art activity .They were thrilled about using the fruits .This activity described a wide variety of activities involving making things with own hands. This way, they identified the different shapes, colors and textures. They drew, paint and made collages. They learnt about objects and colors.
An orange juice activity was planned to involve the kids to experience fresh orange juice with their classmates to develop a healthy life style. They peeled off the oranges and cut them to squeeze .They enjoyed drinking it as it was a delight to experience making own drink by hand.
