In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.” Former U.S. President, Harry Truman
Beaconhouse Metropolitan Campus has always strived in developing leadership skills in its students. A repertoire of opportunities enables students to unlock their leadership potential by developing skills such as honesty, willingness to serve others, effective listening, decision making, positivity and responsibility. There is no doubt that students require such critical leadership skills to thrive in today’s fast-changing and challenging world.
The recently held elections at Beaconhouse Metropolitan Campus witnessed enthusiastic students electing those who they believed in as leaders. A culture of ownership, collaboration and strong community was the essence of these elections.
The Investiture Ceremony of these young, exuberant and dynamic leaders was held on 29th October, 2021. The very honorable Mr. Nasir Kasuri- Executive Director Beaconhouse School System and Ms. Safia Casim- Cluster Director North graced the occasion while Mr. Farrukh Habib Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting was the Chief Guest.
The entire event was an example of organizational perfection. The soulful recitation, the eloquent sufi kalaam, the melodious and powerful performances; each and everything by the students was worth witnessing. Speeches by Mr. Farrukh Habib, Mr. Nasir Kasuri, Ms. Safia Casim and Ms. Mehr Asad were not only motivational but covered important facets of student learning and informative on how to transition into the new technological era. Touching moments were witnessed when proud parents applauded their children during distribution of sashes and after the oath taking ceremony.
