Every child yearns to be listened to, heard, and understood. However, they usually may find it difficult to express themselves in the regular day to day routine. Therefore, keeping in mind the significance of healthy self-expression, students at Beaconhouse Metropolitan Campus-Girls were provided an opportunity to creatively self-express themselves through writing, painting, poetry and music or whatever form they were comfortable with. The main aim was to support them in expressing themselves openly and without judgment.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Students have their own unique quirks and traits, as well as their own preferences and style for sharing pieces of themselves with others. Hence, they enthusiastically gave wings to their imagination and created beautiful masterpieces.<\/p>\n

Once the creative activity was complete, students flaunted their artistic wonders resulting in an extravaganza of colours, shapes, figures, words and illustrations.<\/p>\n

Engaging in this creative self-expression activity turned out to be a fruitful wellness practice reducing stress and increasing a sense of well-being and positive emotions.\u00a0It helped students feel more empowered and more connected to others, thus, strengthening both students\u2019 mental health and self-understanding.<\/p>\n

It is true that when a child\u2019s well-being, resilience, and coping abilities are supported, they can confidently reveal their perfectly imperfect inner, authentic self and make them a better person which is the need of today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n
