\u201cMathematics has beauty and romance. It\u2019s not a boring place to be, the mathematical world. It\u2019s an extraordinary place; it\u2019s worth spending time there.\u201d\u00a0Marcus du Sautoy, British mathematician<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Beaconhouse Metropolitan-Girls, students of VI, VII, VIII took active part in a week full of activities dedicated purely to Mathematics. These young mathematicians created games like \u201cSpin the Wheel\u201d, \u201cIt All Depends on Luck\u201d, \u201cDunk the Ball\u201d, \u201cPing Pong Luck\u201d, \u201cPop the Equation\u201d and many, many more. No one wanted to stay behind in such an electrical mathematical ambience. Students were engaged in collaboratively solving puzzles and competing against each other in activities. Small prizes, handmade badges and certificates turned out to be a cherry on the top.<\/p>\n

The venue was no less than a Mathematical Disneyland. Who could have imagined that this subject which is considered by many as an arid one, rather turned out to be quite fun!<\/p>\n

Although the event came to an end, yet students seemed happier, more confident and more enlightened in the subject they usually dread about.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/strong>American mathematician<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>Stan Gudder<\/strong> aptly states, \u201cThe essence of math is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple,\u201d and Math Week at BMC-Girls proved this statement to be100 percent correct!<\/p>\n
