Winter brings with it long, dark nights with steaming mugs of coffee and people snuggled in warm beds. To take teachers and students out of their winter blues, BMC-Girls decided to accentuate one of such a cosy nights with a bonfire celebration. This special evening has always been a much loved event in the activity calendar of the whole school community as it is the best way to celebrate winter with friends, colleagues and loved ones. Moreover, as it had not been celebrated since the last two years, everyone was looking forward to it with great enthusiasm.
The huge fire pit in the middle of the courtyard, colorful lanterns, and strings of crystal fairy lights gave the ambience a magical touch and the aroma of freshly prepared barbeque seemed to be a cherry on top!
Layered up in big knits and long hoodies, jovial students were busy showcasing their talents on stage, toasting marshmallows, sharing jokes and taking selfies all around. Traditional folk music added melody to the fun filled atmosphere.
The night was anything but chilly thanks to the warmth of smiles and laughter of teachers and students alike. It was indeed a well deserved break from the regular day to day school routine.
