International Men\u2019s Day is aligned with International Children Day, falling on 20th November to encourage all men to teach the boys in their lives the importance of being a man of value, character and responsibility.

This year, the theme for International Men\u2019s Day is, \u2018better relations between men and women<\/em>.’<\/strong> It aligns with the six objectives of this day, as mentioned on the official website:<\/p>\r\n

Today is the day when we can thank all the men of the world who sacrificed their wishes to fulfil those of their families and for the people who need them; for all the big and the small things that they do; for all those times when their presence made the women, the children, the aged feel safe; for supporting those who needed it; for suppressing their tears so others may smile; for hiding their weaknesses so others may feel strong.<\/p>\r\n

Students of Grade 8 Red gathered on this occasion, to celebrate the various achievements and contributions of men and boys towards the nation, society, community, and family.<\/p>\r\n

Students paid a tribute to all the men who have been the building blocks of the world by sharing\u00a0the inspiring poem, \u2018If\u2019 by Rudyard Kipling where a father describes the qualities of a good man to his son and advises him on how to lead a successful and meaningful life despite the inevitable challenges that he will face. The father shows the right way to his son to be a strong and moral leader.

This was followed by appreciation cards presented to all grade 8 students and male staff of the school.<\/p>\r\n

Surely, men along with women are two important entities who work hard to shoulder responsibilities of their family, community and country. This International men\u2019s day is for them to enjoy their worth and feel the special recognition.

It is rightfully said, \u2018We must become the change we seek.\u2019<\/strong><\/em> Together men and women can lead by example to create a safe and fair society for everyone to prosper.<\/p>\r\n
