Clubs are an important aspect of a school which allow students to delve into an interest, link with other students through these shared interests and take on leadership roles. Through clubs, students can explore their hidden talents. Participation in club activities leads to students’ academic and personal development. Active involvement in such activities not only results in higher academic success but also aids in character building, social development, teaches time management and leadership skills and prepare students for community involvement.

Beaconhouse Primary and Middle Years Branch has numerous clubs to cater to all the students’ interests. These clubs enable students to explore their identity by acquiring valuable skills which extend and elaborate on their formal education learned in class.



Science Club:

The purpose of science club is to improve scientific attitude, and to provide the students with the opportunities to enhance and practice scientific knowledge through scientific experiments.

 

 

Through Science club, students will get opportunities for the following activities:

• Researching Scientists, Scientific developments
• Holding Science exhibition and fair
• Preparing mini projects, charts, science models, postures etc.,

Sports Club:

Cultivating a healthy sporting habit among students is crucial. Sports club aims to improve the health and well-being of students. It also allows students to learn effective communication and coordination skills, teamwork, and discipline.

Furthermore, it teaches students the value of time management and healthy competition.

 

 

 

Animation Club:

Animation Club has been introduced this year to provide the students with a platform for developing an understanding of fundamental techniques used for computer animation.

Members of the club will unite to discover the amazing world of animation and discover the technicality behind the scene. They will work together to showcase various projects throughout the year and launch a final common production project which will also teach them the values of dedication, collaboration and professionalism.

Art Club:

The purpose of Art club is to give creative students a chance to learn and practice art techniques in drawing, painting, pottery etc. Through free expression, students can openly experiment and create from their imaginations.


Students will also collaborate with other artists like themselves, create bonds with the society through their art, and learn how to work together through group projects collaboratively.

 

 

Karaoke Club:

Karaoke club allows students to access language and concepts that speaking alone doesn’t achieve at an early age. Karaoke can help improve a child’s cognitive development. It also improves their reading skills in a fun and engaging way.

 

Pupils will sing age-appropriate songs as part of a group or as a soloist in true karaoke style.

 

 

Book Club:

Book club aims to promote a love of literature in the students in a positive, supportive and encouraging environment.

 

Students gather weekly to discuss a common book, indirectly improving their reading fluency, expanding their vocabulary, improving comprehension of written words and ultimately developing better writing skills.

 



Drama Club:

Drama club offers the students a path for creativity and self-expression – an essential aspect of emotional development. Participation in Drama club activities can strengthen students’ self-confidence by helping them to overcome their fear of public speaking and being the center of attention.

It targets the skills that are imperative in personal and professional facets of their life such as:
• communication and language skills,
• social awareness and development,
• creativity and self-expression



Eco Green Club:

In Eco-Green Club, students focus on environmental issues and come up with solutions to protect, conserve, preserve and restore the environment. Each club day educates and empowers the students and prepares them to take necessary steps for the safety of mother earth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Culinary Club:

Culinary club provide students with a fun and creative outlet to learn different cooking techniques, while developing leadership, cooperation and time management skills.

Students not only learn the chemistry of cooking but also how to keep the whole process safe and efficient.
