“Collect memories to tell, not things to show.”

Students who are exposed to many different things outside the classroom usually do better in schools than those who are not; and field trips help in giving that exposure. They help the students to connect with the content in variety of ways and are very important in bridging the gaps between education in the classroom and practical experiences, experiences which stays in the memory of the students for a life time.

After a year long lockdown, where everything was online, from classes to trips, from parties to projects, life had become lifeless. We had forgotten the joy of going out, exploring the world with our friends. A mere field trip had turned into a dream one would long for. It made us realize the importance that every single aspect of life carries. It made us realise how ungrateful and thankless we as human beings are to all the blessings that we are bestowed upon. In valuing big things, we omit the little things that count, things that we cannot afford to live without.

…Fast forward to the present, where life has started to get back to normal, where we are able to breathe fresh air again without the fear of getting sick, where the fear of pandemic has eased a little, it now is important to expose the children to real life experiences that they can learn from and cherish for life.

Keeping that in mind, Beaconhouse Warsak Campus arranged a field trip to the zoo for students of Grade III in the last week of November.

Students were super excited as they got to spend time with their friends outside the school, while learning about different animals, the food they eat and their habitats.

The little faces lit up with joy and happiness as they got into the buses with their friends, because believe it or not, the best part of a trip is the BUS RIDE.

The day had ended, the time had passed, but memories were made….
