The International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Beaconhouse School System campus in Bahria Enclave. A full day of engaging and meaningful activities were organized for students from Early Years to Grade 9, along with the teaching and administrative staff, making the celebration both memorable and inspiring.
The day began with the young learners from Early Years showcasing their creativity by drawing pictures of their favorite female figures, such as their mothers, sisters, or teachers. This activity allowed the children to express their love and appreciation for the women who inspire them in their daily lives.

Students from Grades 1 to 5 participated by creating heartfelt gratitude cards and notes dedicated to their mothers, sisters, teachers, and the school’s support staff. These thoughtful messages highlighted the importance of recognizing the efforts and contributions of women in our lives.
For students of Grades 6 to 9, a special session was arranged at the school amphitheater. The event featured an enlightening and interactive session by Shah Nasir Khan, a senior development professional with over 19 years of experience in development coordination, strategic planning, and policy and programming across fragile and conflict-affected contexts. During the session, he shared valuable insights on the significance of empowering women and promoting equal opportunities delivered an insightful presentation on the role and contributions of women in societies around the world. The session focused on awareness, appreciation, and respect for women’s achievements. Students also paid tribute to the women of society through reflections and discussions in their classrooms.

Adding to the spirit of appreciation, a “Thank You Wall” was decorated with messages of gratitude written by students and teachers. The celebration concluded with a group photograph of the entire staff dressed in purple, followed by the distribution of sweets as a token of appreciation for the women of Beaconhouse who continue to inspire change every day.
