Dear reader, in the opinion of yours truly the most wonderful place on earth is the library where you get endless hours of pure silence and tranquillity, piles of thrilling books and a calm aura all around. Yes it’s safe to say I’m obsessed with books and if you come look for me you’ll probably find me buried underneath a pile of books in the library of Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave Campus.
However, library is not just about book reading and keeping quiet all secluded in a corner. Libraries can be fun and exciting, they can be fun and interesting.
At Beaconhouse School System – Bahria Enclave Campus we like to provide an environment where each child’s mind can grow and cultivate ideas because not every student is obsessed with books like me. For this purpose, our librarian coordinated with the English teachers to conduct an exciting and interesting activity called ‘Making Bookmarks’. Each student displayed their artistic expertise and adorable ideas by decorating bookmarks. Students brought art supplies to bring out their artistic side, some added ribbons to make their bookmarks more elegant while others added cute stickers to show their fun and playful side and some kids enjoyed making bookmarks by sticking beads and ornaments on them.
It’s safe to say that the activity ensured the students’ interest in library lesson and each one of them had a splendid time.
