On Thursday 9th December, Beaconhouse, Bahria Enclave Campus organized an interactive history and geography general knowledge quiz for its middle school students.

Students from grade 6, 7 and 8 were selected as participants after careful screening and were divided into their four houses: falcons, kestrels, eagles and hawks. The quiz was divided into two portions — history and geography which included four rounds each. Each group had a chance to work as a team and answer questions individually to showcase their strengths.

The quiz was an excellent opportunity for students to practice teamwork and to brush up on their knowledge related to geography and history. All the rounds (multiple choice questions, pictorial, buzzer and rapid fire) presented various questions which were based on class discussions and some which needed to be studied more broadly by the student. These topics included landscapes, World War 1, ancient civilizations, oceans and seas, climate change and  the Mughal Empire.

At the end of both quizzes, there was a rapid fire round that the students participated in. The level of competition was high all around and the audience which comprised of parents and other middle school students were engaged the entire time.
