Aik Sham, Hazaar Yadein: Inside the Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave- Annual Teachers’ Dinner!

If you walked past the Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave campus recently and heard a mix of soulful poetry, roaring laughter, and the undeniable sound of people fighting over the last gulab jamun—don’t panic. It was just us teachers, finally off the clock!

After spending months convincing students to submit assignments on time, deciphering creative handwriting, and surviving the daily staff room coffee shortage, it was time to flip the script. The BBE Annual Teachers’ Dinner was finally here, and spoiler alert: we actually let our hair down.

A Huge Shoutout to Management!

Before we get to the roast sessions and the food coma, we have to give massive credit to our School Management Team.

Organizing an event for a room full of tired educators is no easy task, but they pulled off pure magic. From the seamless planning to ensuring we were treated like absolute royalty, they outdid themselves. Seeing management relax, laugh along with the jokes, and join in on the banter proved one thing: we really do have the best team behind us.

The Vibe: Dreamy Lanterns & Zero Stress

The moment we walked in, the campus felt completely transformed. Fairy lights, warm lanterns swaying under the sky, and stunning decor made it feel less like our daily workplace and more like an exclusive retreat. It was cozy, festive, and chic—basically the complete opposite of a Monday morning first-period bell.

The Entertainment: Who Knew We Had So Much Drama?

The stage lineup was stacked, but the real highlight was watching our fellow colleagues showcase talents that definitely aren’t in the curriculum:

  • The Poetry: Deep, soulful, and beautifully recited. We snapped our fingers, caught some serious feelings, and remembered just how eloquent our team can be.

  • The Skits: Absolute, unhinged comedy gold. From gentle jabs at staff room habits to hilariously accurate impressions of daily school chaos, no one was safe! The banter was flying left and right, and it turns out some of our colleagues have a bright future in stand-up comedy.

The Food & Music: Strictly No Calorie Counting

Let’s be honest—we all came for the menu. The spread was legendary: sizzling live BBQ, rich curries, and a dessert station that saw more traffic than the corridor right after the final bell.

Coupled with smooth background music drifting under the lantern light, the energy was unmatched. We ate, laughed, and collectively agreed to forget that alarm clocks exist for the next 12 hours.

A Special Keepsake

Beyond the banter and the feast, the highlight of the night was receiving our appreciation souvenirs. It was a sweet, thoughtful reminder that our late nights, endless lesson planning, and dedication to our students don’t go unnoticed.

Until Next Year!

To our incredible management: thank you for throwing us a night to remember. And to my fellow BSS teachers: we survived another term, we cleaned up surprisingly well, and we proved we know how to party.

Now… back to checking those lesson plans!
