For many years, people all throughout the world have commemorated Global Dignity Day. Historically, it has been observed on the third Wednesday of October. The purpose of Global Dignity Day is to motivate and encourage young people to recognize their own values and work for their own aspirations. It has been around since 2008, but its popularity is rising.
At the culmination of this happy occasion, students at the Beaconhouse School BEI campus responded to this prompt in various ways. The students of different grades carried out various activities in their classrooms by performing skits, writing acoustic poems, making posters and videos, and also by simply talking about the subject that reflected their own understandings of what it means to be treated with respect. Each student was encouraged to participate by their class teachers. The purpose of celebrating this day was with the hope of instilling a sense of respect for human dignity in young minds.
