It is said a book is a dream that we hold in our hands and we can’t agree more. Reading gives us wings to fly and sometimes teach us all the wisdom to survive the bitter and hard realities of life. It is rather a skill that leads to learning not just knowledge but practically implementing it in its true spirit.
To instill the love of books and book reading, Beaconhouse Gulshan Campus, Rawalpindi organized a Reading Competition for students from grade I till V. The students with the support of their dedicated teachers and guidance of the visionary School Leadership, the School Head Mrs. Aisha Ali, practiced reading with correct pronunciation, intonation, expression and fluency.
The various levels were judged by the worthy Faculty members, Mrs. Amna Shafaat, Mrs. Ayesha Naghman and Mrs. Ayesha Kashif of the esteemed institution. Students were encouraged to read it in a relaxed yet confident manner. The criteria was shared with the students beforehand. To acknowledge the potential and efforts of the students, the top three avid readers from each level were given the badges for Reading Superstars.
