Allama Muhammad Iqbal is one of the Pioneers of Pakistan and the most celebrated National Poet. He was not just a poet but an eminent scholar, a reformist and a revolutionary theorist who changed the mode of thinking of the Muslims. He gave them food for thought and indicated the need of a separate homeland for Muslims.
On 9th November, every year, the day is celebrated as Iqbal Day. Like every year the Urdu department at Beaconhouse Gulshan Campus brought this to light and conducted a special assembly presentation in which students from entire school participated.
The programme formally began with the biography of Iqbal RA presented by students from Lower Primary. The students from the Upper Primary participated enthusiastically and performed on the poetry of Iqbal. Middle School left no stone unturned in adding flavour to the assembly by their exceptionally beautiful and soulful oration of prized verses of Iqbal from his master pieces ‘Shikwa’ and ‘Jawab e Shikwa’.
The school choir performed on Kalaam e Iqbal. The assembly concluded on a very positive note where the students resolved to be Iqbal’s Shaheen and to adopt the principles of life advocated by Iqbal RA.
