It is a proverb, “From our ancestors comes the names, but from our virtues honours.”
The number of people that bring about revolutionary changes in peoples’ life is very limited. Quaid e Azam, the Founding Father and the first Governor General of Pakistan was a man of integrity, wisdom, conviction and honour. He was a staunch advocate of a theocratic state. He believed in existing as free citizen of a free state. His selfless devotion and dedication to the people of Pakistan has earned him huge respect and honour. People, till date, remember his services towards them and the state. Every year his birthday and death anniversary are observed with pride and dignity. People around the globe follow his footsteps and principles for the accomplishments of objectives, thus, leading to the path of the victory.
Beaconhouse Gulshan Campus Rawalpindi conducted a special morning assembly in which rich tribute was paid to Quaid e Azam for his services. Students spoke about his unprecedented struggle during his life and especially in the later years of his life, when despite his deteriorating health he stood for his people. The national song Ae Rooh e Quaid added to the show. It was a depiction of resolution of BGCR students to work and strive hard for the nation to reach zenith.
