Human dignity is\u00a0the recognition that human beings possess a special value intrinsic to their humanity and as such are worthy of respect simply because they are human beings.<\/p>\n

\"\"During the course of the academic year, BSS ensures to educate and instigate young people and help them to understand their self-worth and goals and provides a platform\"\" where students can reflect on their practices by conducting a Dignity Week. This year too, a week of inclusion celebrating equality and shared humanity was marked in BSS I-8\/I-9 Campus. This whole week was dedicated to teaching learners how to tap into principles of kindness, empathy, acceptance, and kind-heartedness.<\/p>\n

Different classroom activities along with some mega events were arranged. Students from EYs made some\"\" \"\" appealing posters marking their cute little hands to show that we all are together irrespective of cultural differences. These little feet had a striking Dignity walk throughout the campus in an effort to create awareness. \u00a0Upper primary and Middle school also wrote Dignity Poems and displayed them in the school.<\/p>\n

\u201cDignity does not consist in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was astounding to see the Upper Primary and Middle school\u2019s \u201cTalk Show\u201d on Global Dignity Day for students of Grades 6-8.<\/p>\n

As BSS takes pride in ensuring that Parents are always there on looking to their child\u2019s learning voyage and become a part of it, all the parents were invited to register themselves for the panel discussions on the topic \u201cImportance of Dignity, Values, and Empathy\u201d. The orators shared their real-life experiences to explain the importance of dignity to the audience. The interactive question-answer term followed where students asked the guests to answer their questions and provide expert recommendations related to disapproval, undue pressures, judgments, and tolerance. The session concluded with a Team building activity of \u201cHuman Dignity Chain\u201d between the parents and students, followed by the Dignity Pledge reinforcing that a dignified person has the strength of character, strong moral values, and lives life with principles.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"To further glorify Dignity Week, the BSS I-9 Campus invited the students of ‘The Light House’ \u00a0to spend a day at the Campus. They assembled some wonderful memories for themselves by enjoying \u201cStory Telling\u201d sessions, walking through the campus, a mesmerizing medley, and reception of gifts as tokens of appreciation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special Olympics Athlete Mr. Usman Omer (a National Cyclist) honored the day with his presence and shared his dignified success story with the students indeed motivated us all.\"\"<\/p>\n

Students along with the Dignity, Art and Sports Ambassadors prepared engaging team-building and fun activities for the support staff, students, and the guest.<\/p>\n

All the games like ping pong shooting, cup pyramid, tissue rolling, and some other activities between support staff and students instilled the attributes of empathy and enabled them in making conscious efforts towards celebrating and valuing our uniqueness and differences with respect.<\/p>\n

\"\"This week ended with immense learning and pledges to not only live a dignified life but also to cascade the prominence of dignity to others as well.<\/p>\n
