On 15th August, Beaconhouse I-8/I-9 Campus kicked start a new session with a ‘Welcome Bash’ and Independence Day Celebration. Students are torch bearers of Pakistan’s fate. Every year, they ignite true love for Pakistan through their active participation in the Independence Day celebration. A special assembly was conducted in Beaconhouse I-8/I-9 Campus to kindle the spirit of patriotism.
As a new student in a new class, there are times when the little champs feel low. To instill the presence of pleasure in their new journey, teachers of Beaconhouse I-8/I-9 Campus organized some fun filled activities calling out the starting days as “Orientation Week”. Students of Early Years till Grade 8 were welcomed in anticipation of exciting learning session. Teachers were all excited and prepared to welcome their young champs in respective classes with a bash. It was a whole “Orientation Week” that created an atmosphere of a warm welcome to the new comers who had to grasp the new culture as well as the Beaconites already going through learning experiences.
The main aim of the fun-packed orientation was to create students familiarity with their new teachers in a very conducive environment, play games, do interactive activities, having their parents on board. It gave them an opportunity to get acquainted with their classmates.
The very first day had the most wonderful time when the students reached their classrooms in amazement. From playing interactive indoor games to outdoor physical activities in Early years till grade 2, the campuses were all filled with amusement and laughter.
Both in Beaconhouse I-8/I-9 Campus, Early Years students played variety of games including Hoola Hoop Activity, Hopscotch and Fist bump.
Nursery students enjoyed playing “Follow the action Activity” with their parents. It inculcated the new learning approach where they were asked to follow the action of their peers. All the activities had parents’ engagement which made the orientation days even more enthralling.
Kindergarten made memories with hand prints. Not only this, they made family booklets with the support of parents. Shape animals Activity was also conducted in the classrooms, integrated with Shapes Topic in Math.
In Grade I, ‘Pass the Parcel’ and “Spin the wheel and Guess the Riddle” were few of those fun games which are always a hit at school. ”Guess the Verb Game” was also executed in which students had to guess the verb through an action before it is revealed. It was a thorough fun week to get known of their classrooms. The classroom became a place of laughter which gave the students a chance to enjoy the new learning environment of a new class.
It was great to see the students dive into something new which they never have experienced before.
