“When you clean up the Earth, you clean up your soul.”

Beaconhouse School System I-9 Campus proudly joined hands with the global community in celebrating World Cleanup Day, spreading awareness about the importance of keeping our planet clean and green. The day was marked with enthusiasm, creativity, and meaningful actions as our young learners actively participated in a variety of activities focusing on the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

“Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”

Howard Zinn

Students engaged in hands-on recycling projects, where discarded items were sorted out as per their type i.e. plastic, metal and paper, showing how waste can be given trashed out and can be transformed to make new products. Classroom discussions  highlighted the importance of reducing plastic usage and adopting Eco-friendly habits in everyday life.

“Reduce what you buy, reuse what you can, and recycle what you must.”

Through these activities, our students not only learned valuable lessons about environmental responsibility but also became ambassadors of change, pledging to carry forward the message of sustainability into their homes and communities.

“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”

Native American Proverb

World Cleanup Day at Beaconhouse was a powerful reminder that even the smallest steps, when taken collectively, can make a big difference for our planet. Together, we can nurture a cleaner, greener, and brighter future.

“Clean communities, green communities, healthy communities.”
