“Together We Rise: Honoring Pakistan’s History on March 23rd!”
Beaconhouse I-9 Campus celebrated Pakistan Day with great enthusiasm and pride. This important day marks the Lahore Resolution of 1940, when the idea of an independent Muslim state was formally put forward, eventually leading to the creation of Pakistan. The school organized a series of events to honor this historic day, instilling a sense of patriotism and national pride among students and staff.
The celebrations began with a heartwarming morning assembly, where the national anthem echoed through the school gymnasium. Students, dressed in shades of green and white, gathered, paying homage to the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the creation of Pakistan. The flag were raised with great reverence, as everyone stood tall and sang the anthem and national songs with unwavering respect.
A special assembly was conducted comprising of students performances in terms of tableaus and speeches highlighting the significance of the day. The speeches focused on the importance of unity, strength, and hard work in building a prosperous nation. The students also reminded of their responsibility in upholding the values of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of education, peace, and harmony.
The cultural segment of the celebration was filled with exciting performances. The students showcased traditional clothes, reflected the diversity and rich cultural heritage of Pakistan. The drama performance depicted the struggles and triumphs of the leaders who fought for the creation of our beloved country.
Early years and Lower primary students made artifacts paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Muslims of the sub-continent. In upper primary, multiple activities took place to pay homage to the martyrs. Special art and craft activities were organized in the school hall.
Students of Grade 3 made vibrant collages of Pakistani flag with fresh leaves and cotton. It was a masterpiece of Beaconhouse Pakistan day celebration.
Grade 4 students made beautiful monuments by using newspapers and tracing the cutouts on it and made abstract designs.
The talented students of grade 5 made intricate collages of Minar-e-Pakistan with different grains, pieces of clothes, small cutouts of sports’ equipment, and gravel to show Pakistani exports.
Students of Grade 6 did Typography drawings in Pakistani monuments sketch. Students have drawn Pakistani monuments on cardboards/ canvasses and wrote the poet of the nation, Allama Iqbal’s poetry and the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam’s quotes on it.
Thought-provoking paintings on the newspapers were done by grade 7 to show their feelings about Pakistan. They created beautiful paintings on different topics using Acrylic paints.
The day was a wonderful reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals for Pakistan’s freedom and independence. As the celebrations drew to a close, the students returned to their classrooms, carrying with them a deeper appreciation for their country’s history and a renewed commitment to contributing to its future.
The Pakistan Day activities at Beaconhouse were a perfect blend of education, culture, and celebration. They provided students with the opportunity to learn about the history of Pakistan while engaging in fun and meaningful activities that fostered a sense of patriotism.
