Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. It shows the rhythmical creation of linguistic beauty. Poetry is important not less than science because it enhances creativity in the soul and enables a person to enjoy the serene beauty of words.
Beaconhouse I-8 and I-9 Campus celebrated the essence of poetry by holding Inter-class Poetry Recitation Competition among Grades 1 and 2 and class activity in the Early Years. It was a mega event in which the students presented poems with eloquence.
Students prepared the poetry recitation as a whole class presentation. They illustrated a very effective mode of learning as a masterpiece of literature with their classmates. In Grades 1 and 2, the students had their magical performances on stage which were judged by honorable judges according to specific criteria based on the physical presence of the class, voice, confidence, coordination, and rhythm.
Class I-Orange won the trophy for presenting the best poem of the competition. And similarly in Grade 2, Class 2- Green was the award-winning team. All the classes were awarded certificates of participation.
Not only students but parents were also made an integral part of the event. They participated with fanaticism in writing poems in groups and displayed the art of teamwork.
The main purpose of the event was to build self-confidence, and oratory skills, and polish stage confidence. It was a thorough fun-filled literary day that was very much enjoyed by the students and appreciated by the parents as a celebration of the language’s beauty.
