There was an unmistakable electric buzz in the air as students, proud parents, and faculty gathered at Beaconhouse I-9 Campus for the annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–2027. More than just a routine event on the school calendar, the morning represented a celebration of trust, democratic student choice, and young minds eagerly stepping forward to shoulder new responsibilities.

The atmosphere swelled with anticipation as our hosts welcomed our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Khawaja Haider Latif, Regional Director of Beaconhouse Northern Region, alongside Guest of Honour Ms. Tania Zubairi and our dedicated Head Mistress (Cluster Convener), Ms. Ayesha Shams.

The proceedings opened on a solemn note with a soulful recitation and translation of the Holy Quran, followed by the entire assembly rising in unison to pay tribute to our motherland through the National Anthem.

Taking the stage to address the eager audience, Head of School Ms. Ayesha Shams delivered an inspiring message on the true essence of student leadership. She reminded the council that leadership is not about authority, but about empathy, accountability, and setting a positive example for every peer on campus. Her words beautifully mirrored the famous quote by John Quincy Adams: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are an excellent leader.”

The defining feature of leadership at Beaconhouse I-9 Campus is the deep commitment to shared responsibility. Leadership here is not carried by a single individual, but distributed across a dedicated network of young changemakers.

Applause echoed through the hall as sashes were conferred upon specialized domain ambassadors representing media, arts, sports, literary endeavors, digital literacy, community service, and environmental sustainability, alongside student safeguarding leads and house captains representing our four vibrant school houses.

The pride reached its peak when our Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, Head Boy, and Head Girl stepped forward to receive their sashes. Having grown alongside the campus over the years through dedication and resilience, these student leaders stand as true ambassadors ready to represent the values and voice of our school community.

The formal sashing was seamlessly woven with delightful cultural and musical showcases that highlighted the immense creative talent across all grade levels. Soulful solo vocal performances and harmonized student duets brought pure magic to the auditorium, while an energetic performance by our Grade 3 superstars had the entire audience clapping along with joy and excitement.

The climax of the morning arrived as Chief Guest Sir Khawaja Haider Latif took the stage to administer the official Oath of Office. Raising their right hands, the newly appointed Student Council members solemnly pledged to abide by school regulations and uphold the glory and dignity of Beaconhouse. In his insightful address, Mr. Khawaja Haider Latif encouraged the young council to embrace every challenge with courage, reflecting the timeless wisdom of motivational writer Denis Waitley: “The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”

The formal ceremony drew to a close with a candid heart-to-heart conversation between parents, Regional Director Mr. Khawaja Haider Latif and school management, sharing their aspirations, celebrating student achievements, and strengthening the vital bond between home and school.

While student leaders congratulated one another and took memorable group photographs, parents gathered in the gymnasium for tea. With determination in their eyes and sashes worn proudly over their hearts, our Student Council 2026–2027 is ready to soar to new heights!
