17th Dec 22 marked the day of sportsmanship and diligence when Beaconhouse I-8 & I-9 Campus organized the Annual Sports Day in Sports Complex Islamabad. The event was graced by the honorable Senior Head Mistress Mrs. Nighat Javed and respectable judges were invited from different branches of Beaconhouse. She began the event by fleeing pigeons in the sky and unleashing balloons.
Students from Early Years till Grade 8 performed relentlessly and made their teachers and parents proud. They had a break from their monotonous long days of school. It gave them the opportunity to meet the fun elements of school life.
The event started with Allah Almighty’s name and a well-disciplined walk past. Walk Past was an immaculate display of team spirit, discipline, and coordination. All the classes were led by the members of the students’ executive council including the head boy, head girl, and house captains. All the participants took an oath to respect the rules of the sport and participate in a spirit of fair play, followed by the national anthem.
There were synchronized aerobics displays from Early Years till Grade 3 and PT displays of Grades 4- 6 in different intervals to energize the players for some exciting games and physical activities ahead.
The feather in the cap was the Taekwondoo display in which students from KG till Grade VIII showed their physical strength skills. It conducted symmetrical body exercises and techniques for self-defense.
The sports gala proceeded with the flat races throughout all the levels from Early Years till Grade 8th on flat tracks.
The Annual Sports Day 2022 depicted extraordinary teamwork, the spirit of sportsmanship, and the student’s accomplishment taking their houses to victory. The overall conduct of a successful event showed astounding coordination, collaboration, and excitement. It was a colorful fun day packed with enthusiasm and zeal when students broke all the barriers of joy and showed their strength and resilience. The winners and the participants were awarded medals. The token of appreciation was also presented to the honorable judges by the Senior Head Mistress to honor their valuable contribution in the event.
