BSS I-9/I-8 Campus is successfully striving towards the journey of inculcating leadership qualities in every student. The campus keeps on boosting the 7 Habits of Leader in Me and the recent quiz competition was another successful event in this heed.
BSS truly understands that its students can stand out from the bunch if their knowledge on just about everything within and beyond their academia is tip top and that the students in school are in many ways, foreseen to know what is making the world go around. General knowledge will passively yet directly affect their grades and their overall self-assurance to talk in any social group.
BSS I-9/I-8 Campus proudly hosted the Intra Cluster Round of the Beaconhouse Brain of General Knowledge Quiz which had four rounds. The first round was the Mega Quiz round, the second was a rapid-fire round, the third was a buzzer and the fourth round was the picture-perfect round.
Participant Branches from Cluster 17 were Beaconhouse E-11 Campus, Beaconhouse Metropolitan Campus, Beaconhouse Satellite Town Primary Branch, Rawalpindi, Beacon-
house Bahria Enclave and Beaconhouse I-9/I-8 Campus.
The worthy judges were, Ms.Qurat ul Ain from BMI – Girls Branch and Ms. Fehmina Tariq from BKI F-8/2 Branch. The Quiz Master was Ms. Fatima Asif from F-7/1. All students took part with great zeal and were very well prepared for all the rounds. The competitive teams gave a hard-bitten time to each other.
Witnessing the event and the students’ zeal, I was reminded of what cognitive psychologists say that one cannot be a critical, imaginative, and independent thinker if one doesn’t know a lot of realities. These students ascertain that learning actualities require a lot of reading, and once a person is adroit with facts, it becomes tranquil to incorporate higher-order thinking skills. All the participants in the event were indeed standing as self-reliant knowledgeable personalities.
Students from Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave won the competition and the host campus’s team bagged the position of the 1st
Runners Up.
It is certain that such wits by the schools will harvest more leaders and decision-makers in our society. BSS I-9/I-8 Campus is committed to taking such initiative more frequently as it believes that gaining knowledge is a continuous and lifelong process and in order to raise self-esteem in our children, they should become more familiar with different kinds of knowledge.
