The school hosted a panel discussion on *Global Citizenship* for a deep dive into the evolving dynamics of global responsibilities in today’s interconnected world. Our distinguished guests included Mr. Ammar Jaffery, a renowned expert in cyber security and digital governance with over two decades of experience, including his tenure as Additional Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Pakistan, the event provided critical insights on digital governance and the role of technology in fostering global citizenship.
The discussion was enriched by the presence of Mr. Usman Khan, a faculty member specializing in Pakistan Studies and Global Citizenship, who highlighted the importance of understanding cultural and historical perspectives in developing a sense of global responsibility. Additionally, Mr. Faizan Awais, an alumnus of Beaconhouse and former head boy, shared his personal experiences of navigating the shift to online schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering a firsthand account of how digital platforms can both challenge and enhance the learning experience.
The student panelists, Taha Imran, Muhammad Khan, Savaira Adnan, and Noor ul Haya Waseem, all O Level students, contributed to the conversation by sharing their perspectives on global citizenship from a youth standpoint. Their insights reflected the challenges and opportunities of being a young global citizen in a digitally driven world, particularly in the context of education, communication, and collaboration across borders.
