As I sit here thinking about becoming a senior next year, my mind is a jumble of emotions. I’m excited, nervous, happy, and a little scared all at once. It’s like my feelings are playing a game of tag, and I’m not sure who’s winning!
I’m electrified by the prospect that now I am going to get promoted to 6th grade and would be called a senior in the school. I am excited to meet new teachers and have the chance to explore new horizons, take on fresh challenges, and forge unbreakable bonds with my friends.
On the other hand, I am apprehensive too when I think that though I am going to be called a senior but being a senior is a different ball game, I cannot easily mess around and be left considering a junior. I am stressed that I won’t be offered some interesting extra co-curricular activities like music.
I’m sad also as I’ll dearly miss my teachers and the memories I made with them. I will have more work to do and will face different challenges. Though last week, orientation session with our future grade 6 teachers removed most of my apprehensions as they ensured that support and guidance are readily available in the senior school as well, every step of the way.
