At Beaconhouse School System Tipu Sulatn Campus, we are committed to the continuous professional growth of our educators. In this regard we’re thrilled to share the highlights of our recent staff meeting led by our cluster convener and Principal, Ma’am Nabila Khalid and her dynamic administrative team. The session was a vibrant gathering focused on the powerful concepts of teacher agency and learner agency, as part of our ongoing GSM 2025 initiatives. Teachers from Pre-Nursery to A-Levels came together for a morning filled with inspiring case studies and lively discussions, all centered on innovative ways to encourage learner autonomy, self-directed learning, and student-centered practices.
Throughout the meeting, the importance of teacher agency in nurturing learner agency was at the forefront. Our educators explored the key dimensions of the Teacher Effectiveness Framework (TEF), sharing best practices that connect directly with our School Improvement Plan (SIP). By exchanging strategies to empower students to take greater ownership of their learning journeys, our teachers refined their approaches to make teaching and learning more impactful and responsive to student needs.
We’d like to extend our warmest appreciation to Ma’am Nabila Khalid and her administrative team for facilitating such a thought-provoking and engaging session. A special thank you also goes to all our teachers for their enthusiastic participation and steadfast commitment to fostering educational excellence. Together, we’re building a brighter future for every student, one day at a time! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey with GSM 2025.
