Dignity means having respect and giving respect to others. It also means to treat others the way you want to be treated. It is the most essential need of every human. Everyone should be respected and valued for who they are, what they believe in, and how they want to live.

Just like we have a right to life, right to freedom, right to education, safety, and right to peace, in the same way, we have the right to dignity as well.

Laura Hillenbrand stated, “Dignity is as essential to human life as water, food, and oxygen.”

To promote dignity for all, Tipu Sultan Campus – Primary celebrated Dignity Week from 18th – 22nd October 2021.  Various activities were conducted which included an assembly to highlight the importance of Global Dignity Day.

Our talented students wrote amazing poems on Dignity. Moreover, they presented a short skit to promote the value of dignity and our responsibility towards it. Our little angels also penned acts of kindness on the given handouts and created impressive artwork depicting dignity, respect, empathy, and the like virtues. In addition to this, students wrote a pledge on a splendidly designed dignity wall in the school premises. Our pupils also designed appreciation cards which they presented to the support staff to acknowledge their importance, value, and respect in our society.

Dignity is a virtue and it is the basic need of every individual. We must live a dignified life and let others live with dignity and prosperity.
