“Just keep swimming.” This singular movie quote reminds me of something real: in the colossal oceans, even the tiniest, vest-pocket aquatic life sustains itself by never stopping. Sea turtles swim many miles, dolphins dive deep into the ocean, but even they come up for air. Although the ocean carries many challenges, all of its inhabitants keep moving ahead.
There are moments when school gets too overwhelming, assignments get burdensome to manage, and I’m caught in a wave I can’t escape. In such times, I look back at this personal philosophy, reminding myself to keep forging ahead.
Just like aquatic creatures, persistence becomes survival, and at the same time, persistence becomes growth. In the deep and vast ocean of life, choosing to swim through the storms is the ultimate key to success and the epitome of sedulousness.
