Is rocket science only a science of building rockets? Of course not! Rocket science subsists in routine life, however, it can be comforted through efficient actions and to indulge oneself to make challenging activities at ease in daily life through hand on activities and project based learning (PBL) which upkeep to recover challenges, hurdles and trials in students\u2019 academic practice.<\/p>\n

Students now a days have copious encounters in absorbing complex academic approaches, therefore, meaningful project based learning (PBL) is introduce to students that composites content mastery, evocative effort, and individual association to create prevailing learning experiences, in terms of both academic achievement and students\u2019 personal growth.<\/p>\n

BMI-B middle school instigated Project based learning that pursuit of new knowledge, technology and innovative way of learning that serves as an opportunity for students to showcase their learning. Moreover, BMI-B\u00a0 students of Grade VIII enthusiastically exhibit a question for their activity on ‘Are we ready to handover our planet to our next generation.’<\/strong> <\/em>To which a highly commendable project response was accumulated! They showcased their projects to the societies outside their classroom walls who may include community members, parents, teachers and peers. During week one of this project, the students prepared KWL charts for further research on ways to positively contribute to their environment and spawn a safe space wherein everyone feels protected and secure.<\/p>\n

Another\u00a0 culmination was accomplished by Grade VII students on “how can the 3R’s engender damage control over the catastrophe brought by climate<\/strong> change”<\/strong> <\/em>on the second and third week of the activity consisted of a multitude of mediums that students used in which students created podcast, posters, documentaries and brochures to highlight the causes and effects of natural disasters. They put emphasis on the need to conserve the environment and the ways in which we can do that. The activity likewise included making of pie charts and graphs to depict the frequency with which these disasters occur. Additionally, the students also watch videos and wrote reflections on how atmospheric pressure plays a pivotal role in causing natural disasters. Consequently, these two weeks have been very efficacious, full of activities that provided them hands on learning experience that supported them on how to cope up with natural disasters and what can be done to reduce the impact. A major outcome was that students learnt how to keep themselves and their society protected and safe.<\/p>\n

PBL is moderately transformative for BMI-B students, as they have been vigorously affianced with PBL projects that focused on “how rocket science is the science of our everyday life”<\/strong><\/em> that deliver real-world significance for erudition which further support students to learn how to resolve all the upcoming glitches and hitches that are important to them and their communities. Moreover, PBL would commendably influence BMI-B students to engross in prevailing learning that is profound and long lasting and stimulates for them a love of learning and personal connection to their academic experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
