We cannot stop natural disasters but we can arm ourselves with knowledge: so many lives wouldn’t have to be lost if there was enough disaster preparedness – Petra Nencova
One of the prime trials that can be encountered by any nation is a natural disaster. Flood is one of the most destructive one which can occur anywhere, anytime during heavy rains, when ocean waves come or when dams or embankments break. Moreover, flooding may happen with only a few inches of water, or it may cover a house to the rooftop.
During the flood catastrophe, there is the leeway of loss of life, adversity to people, and widespread damage to property. This is because flooding can carry bridges, cars, houses, and even people. Some floods befall brusquely and recede quickly whereas others take several days or even months to form and to recede because of variation in size, duration, and the area affected.
One of the most calamitous floods has been recently witnessed in 2022 which had a tremendous impact on the economy of Pakistan and had one of the most vicious destruction ever faced by the nation, as it ruined multiple crops, wiped away trees and other important structures on land. People of Pakistan are departed far away from their lives and having a radical upshot not on their pecuniary state, but suffered their health savagely.
Keeping the contemporary flood destruction, BMI-B stood on the first lines in providing benevolent support from the very beginning. Our devoted students along with the teachers have been determinedly serving the victims by providing them with ration cartons, warm clothing, water and other survival utensils.
BMI-B virtuous act is not only to back up the victims in their destitutions, but to showcase the fortitude, passion and devoutness to the globe that the youth of Pakistan is really apprehensive about their homeland whenever essential.
