Dignity Day: Hope, Equality and Happiness

“Every life deserves a certain amount of dignity, no matter how poor or damaged the shell that carries it.”

People have turned out to be prejudice towards others’ religions, races, designation etc., thus dispossessed of their rights and occasionally they endure their lives in invariable terror of someone turned to be odious towards them that might impair their self esteem.

 

 

 

Our youth ought to inculcate the values to make an inclusive community where everyone feels a sense of belonging and have honest conversations about discrimination and bigotry that brings us closer as a community. Moreover, it is mandatory to integrate the principles of dignity with anti-racist platform for all despite their background, culture, race, cast, that build our capacity to be a place of dignity for all.

 

BMI-B students and teachers enthusiastically celebrated ‘World Dignity Day’  and instill the knowledge of diversity and equity by making VLOGs, panel discussion, appreciation cards and  thank you notes to all those who wholeheartedly work for the well being of society. Students incorporated the skills of social and emotional learning with the content of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through numerous awareness campaigns.

 

 

Mrs. Rukhsana Shahzad along with teachers and students embedded the significance of human dignity which involves esteem, respect, honor, patience towards the different people of society that come from diverse families, religions, races and their beliefs formulate different systems of morals. Thus, these morals, ethics, principles or human dignity will determine how society works, as it is the essential concept from which all the human rights originate, and the basis for social order and refers both to self-respect and to the respect for the other human beings.
