The valuable learning outcome of spelling contests<\/em> results in the children gaining competency over vocabulary and this allows them to excel at reading and writing<\/span>. The ability to understand more words will allow your children to become literate<\/strong> and enjoy reading an extensive range of material.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Spelling competition<\/strong> helps improves cognitive skills.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Cognitive skills are those that your brain uses to think, read, remember, learn, reason, and pay attention. Spelling competition helps your child learn how to break down huge words and spell them the correct manner. Not only this, Using a combined approach of phonemic, morphemic and whole-word strategies, Spelling Mastery helps students to understand the relationship between sounds, word parts and spelling patterns.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spelling games are educational activities that encourage children to develop their spelling skills. They provide a fun context where children are motivated to practice spelling.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Keeping in view , BKI E-11<\/strong><\/em> arranged a Spelling Competition from KG to grade 3<\/em><\/strong> under the title of Spellathon 2023.<\/em><\/strong> There were three rounds for KGs<\/strong> and 2 rounds for Grade 1,2 and 3. First round was interclass where the finalists had been selected for the next rounds which would be intraclass<\/strong> and section.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After selecting the finalists from all the sections of the same level, the final round had been arranged in a way where parents of the participants were invited and to keep it transparent a Judge from the other branch had been outsourced and requested to judge the round. Final round had three stages, Fishbowl Activity, Audio visual aid and Green card round as a rapid fire question.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

All the participants performed amazingly and the competition was much appreciated by the parents and judges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
