Saplings of Hope and Learning: My First Day at School

My name is Arbab Muhammad Azlan, and I am from grade 5 Blue . In this blog, I will share my wonderful experience of how my first day of the new academic session went. Like every student, I was a little nervous but at the same time filled with excitement, as stepping into a new session always brings fresh hopes and goals. The weather was pleasant that morning, which made it a perfect start to the day.

I was eager to meet my friends and teachers again. The moment I entered my classroom, I could feel the joy and energy in the atmosphere. Everyone was smiling and sharing their vacation stories. Soon, our teacher walked in, and we all stood up to greet her. She looked so happy to see us after such a long break. She then shared with us the plan for the year ahead, highlighting the goals we would strive to achieve in academics, character building, and extracurricular activities.

During our English lesson, our teacher gave us our very first task of the session, to write a paragraph about our summer vacations. It was exciting to recall and pen down all the fun moments I had. Later, she took us to another class where we watched an informational video. The video was engaging, and after it ended, we discussed our reflections and ideas with our classmates. This activity not only improved our thinking skills but also helped us learn from each other’s perspectives.

After that, it was time for lunch. As always, my friends and I shared our food with each other, which made the break even more enjoyable. I also met and interacted with some of my new juniors, greeting them warmly and sharing little tips from my own school experiences to make them feel more comfortable.

One of the most memorable highlights of the day was when our respected school head gifted each one of us a sapling. She encouraged us to grow it with care, as a step towards building an eco-friendly environment. Holding that tiny plant in my hands made me feel responsible and proud, as it was not just a gift but also a symbol of hope, and our duty towards nature.

Overall, it was a truly amazing first day. Along with the joyful learning, I loved meeting my friends and teachers after the long summer break. The sapling gift made the day even more special, reminding me that just like the plant, this new academic year is a fresh beginning that I must take care of and make flourish.
