Beaconhouse School System prides itself on its inclusiveness. We do not only believe in but also cherish the unique attributes each child brings to our Beaconhouse family. Every child is unique and different and we must celebrate their uniqueness.

We understand that some children might have a different learning trajectory and we strive to empower each child by assessing his/her unique needs & by molding our learning curriculum and plans accordingly.

Changes in the daily routine can create stress for many children. The students thrive on routine and consistency and may exhibit maladaptive behaviors when they face unpredictable situations at school. Recently, one of our children in Nursery had experienced issues when his classroom was shifted upstairs. However, a kind and empathetic teacher took it as a challenge to help the child overcome his fears.

Being an involved teacher, she knew the student’s love for dinosaurs. The stairs leading to his classroom were made colorful by using many pictures of dinosaurs that made the whole experience a fun climb for him. Most children function better when they know what’s required of them and when they have the skills to meet those expectations.

Then, he soon overpowered his terrors and integrated seamlessly into the class routine.

Teacher’s efforts were much appreciated by parents.

This and many other examples from our Early Years are not only a firm affirmation to the empathy & capability of our teaching staff but also proves that they can handle behaviors appropriately, reduce classroom disruptions, and provide every student in the class with access to a safe and effective education. Our school provides an educational setting that’s designed to meet the child’s specific needs and successfully handle behavior challenges and reinforce our mission of making Beaconhouse an inclusive space for all.
