“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.”
Pre-Ramadan celebrations were joyously observed at Beaconhouse E-11, where students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 5 participated in vibrant Ramadan festivities. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students engaged in various activities to mark the auspicious occasion. They enthusiastically crafted Ramadan-themed greeting cards, using their creativity to design intricate patterns and heartfelt messages.
As the crescent moon ushers in the holy month of Ramazan, communities around the globe embark on a period of reflection, prayer, and acts of kindness. Amidst this sacred season, the Pre-Nsy assembly stood out as a beacon of hope and compassion, showcasing the purest forms of giving through the innocent eyes of its little ones. This assembly was not just an event but a heart warming journey into the essence of kindness, compassion, and community spirit, as experienced through the acts of our youngest members.
The Grade 1 students were introduced to the values of kindness, empathy, and generosity through the Good Deed Jars activity. This initiative, which was designed to align with the spirit of Ramazan, aimed to instill in our children the importance of acts of kindness and the positive impact they could have on the world around them.
Moreover, the students delved into the art of expression by composing acrostic poems dedicated to Ramadan. Each poem beautifully captured the essence of the holy month, showcasing the students’ appreciation for its significance. Additionally, they challenged their minds with Ramadan-themed puzzles, enhancing their cognitive skills while having fun.
In addition to these activities, students also gathered to recite naats , melodious hymns praising the Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وسلم) and reflecting on his noble character. The soulful renditions of naats added a spiritual dimension to the celebrations, deepening the students’ connection to their faith and promoting a sense of reverence.
The festivities provided a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the values of Ramadan, such as compassion, empathy, and gratitude. Through these activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the spiritual significance of the month, fostering a sense of unity and community among them.
As the celebrations concluded, the halls echoed with laughter and camaraderie, leaving a lasting impression of joy and togetherness. The Pre-Ramadan festivities at Beaconhouse E-11 truly served as a meaningful precursor to the upcoming holy month, instilling in students a sense of reverence and anticipation for Ramadan.
