A Milad to Remember

Last Friday, our school was filled with joy and reverence as we celebrated Milad. The teachers beautifully decorated the place , a shining banner of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) hung on the wall, green cloth draped the sides, and warm LED lights glowed in the background. The program began with Pre-Nursery and continued all the way up to Grade 5. The boys, dressed in white shalwar kameez, added to the spirit of purity and devotion.

After some Quranic readings and questions, it was time for the performances. When Grade 3’s turn came, my name was called for the naat “Rokhe Mustafa Ko Dekha.” My heart raced with nerves, but when I stood to recite, confidence took over. Returning to my seat, I felt proud yet humbled. Soon, it was our class’s turn. We were both nervous and excited, but when we recited, our teachers’ smiles made every effort worthwhile.

It was a moment etched in my memory forever , a reminder that faith, courage, and devotion light up our hearts.
As Rumi once said,

“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”

Signing off with gratitude and joy,
