When a language is declared to be\u00a0<strong>national<\/strong>, the state is committing to guard and endorse it so that citizens can use it more readily. The country also has several regional languages, including Punjabi, Saraiki, Pashto, Sindhi, Balochi, Gujari, Kashmiri, Hindko, Brahui, Shina, Balti, Khowar, Dhatki, Haryanvi, Marwari, Wakhi, and Burushaski.<\/p>\n<p>The earliest linguistic influences in the development of Urdu probably began with the Muslim conquest of Sindh in 711. The language started evolving from Farsi and Arabic contacts during the invasions of the Indian subcontinent by Persian and Turkic forces from the 11th century onward. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wdl.org\/en\/item\/9700\/\">https:\/\/www.wdl.org\/en\/item\/9700\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHAFTA e Urdu Adab\u201d was celebrated with full swing in BKI f8\/2. Different insightful activities were planned grade level-wise to create awareness amongst children about their national language. Children felt encouraged to receive much appreciation from our honorable chief guests.<\/p>\n<p>Children were involved in Urdu handwriting competition, Urdu spell check, story writing in Urdu, Urdu poetry (self-made), tablo, singing of Urdu national songs, recitation of poems from famous Urdu poets and respectfully imitating National Poet \u201cAllama Iqbal\u201d in order to introduce them to our children.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BKIF82\/videos\/pcb.4256678111108947\/2761525394140840\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BKIF82\/videos\/pcb.4256678111108947\/2761525394140840<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/105294101952233\/videos\/940016509962962\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/105294101952233\/videos\/940016509962962<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The aim of these activities and this dedicated week for Urdu was to stimulate the understanding of owning our national language. This week helped children to start enjoying learning Urdu vocabulary, Urdu poetry and instill interest to know of our famous poets and Urdu writers.
