The Kashmir dispute has always been a source of rising tension and conflict between India and Pakistan. Among many nationally holidays celebrated in Pakistan, Pakistanis observe “Kashmir Day” on the 5th of February to show Pakistan’s support and unity with the people of Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir and to pay homage to Kashmiris who have died in the conflict.

The land of Kashmir is often referred to as “Heaven on Earth”, for its captivating and breathtakingly scenic beauty along with its diverse sociocultural characteristics, however our Kashmiri brethren have never had it easy. Since the creation of Pakistan in 1947, Kashmir has always been a point of central disagreement and several wars have been fought over it between the two nations.

To honour the endless struggles and hardships faced by our oppressed Kashmiri brethren and to pay homage to their endless sacrifices, Beacon House Primary Campus F8/2 on 3rd February,2023 celebrated “Kashmir Day” to extend their support and to show solidarity towards the suffering of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

The event started off with the holy name of ALLAH, followed by emotional and heart touching speeches and debates as students expressed their heartfelt grief and concern towards the struggles of Kashmiris. A “Walk” was organized to show that the students of Beacon House Primary Campus stand united against any injustice faced by their fellows.

Students from various classes prepared heart touching skits and tableaus to educate the younger generation about the Kashmir issue in an interactive manner. The event was concluded with each student writing letters to their Kashmiri brethren to let them know that they were always with them and that their struggles and sacrifices were not in vain. These writings and messages again were a proof that we had managed to successfully inculcate in our students the factual knowledge and cause of Kashmir issue.

It is very important for Muslims to know about the struggles and hardships faced by other Muslims and to always extend their support towards their Muslim brethren no matter where ever they are and to speak up against injustice taking place anywhere in the world.
